Some Updates

As usual, I haven't been able to keep my word to regularly update this blog.  :(

A lot of times I really wanted to write something, but either I didn't have the time, or something more pressing is at hand, or I do not have the luxury of solitude to concentrate on the topic I had in mind.  At times also, I just lose the idea, like I already had the topic in mind and then it was gone in a blink of an eye.  I don't know if it happens to everyone, but it does to me.  But needless to say, I have so many excuses really and I can only blame me.  :P

So, the updates...

-  Well, I got into some situation that I wished I never did.  Don't we all???  But I thank God I did get out of it in time or I will be even more sorry and sad now.  :)

-  I'm communicating again with someone who was a big part of my life and whom I've "lost" for a time.  I can't really say it's back to what it used to be but it is much, much more comfortable now.  :)

-  I lost my job but it was what I was hoping for.  I got what I wanted and I'm loving my freedom now.  :)

-  I went for a short holiday with my brothers in Australia!  The main reason was to attend my brother's graduation in Adelaide, stayed a few days there exploring the city.  Oh and we had half a day exploring Brisbane city before that because we missed our flight to Adelaide from Brisbane.  Went to Melbourne, stayed in the city for a few days, then moved and stayed with friends in the suburbs.  :)

-  There was that bus-hostage-taking incident in the Philippines which made me sad.  I guess it affected most Filipinos, if not all.  :(

-  Had a mini-reunion with some high school batchmates in Singapore.  Some of them I barely knew but it was nice catching up again after 18 years.  :)

-  Visited my mother and friends back in The Philippines.  Surprised my bestfriend who didn't know I was coming home, she didn't quite like that by the way, but what's done is done and she cannot do anything about it anymore.  I had a great time meeting up with my college friends and was really amazed that the one who arranged for the surprise and the meet-up did such a great job... well almost (she was very late), if you knew how bad she is at showing up.  Was able to spend some time with a couple of friends who needed a friend.  My bestfriend could not accept that fact that she's the only one surprised so she arranged for me and her to surprise another friend.  Talk about getting back at someone else!  :)

-  Attended a great seminar for single ladies, by the wonderful and lovely author Ms. Ali Smith (Entrusting the Key: From Serial Dating to Patiently Waiting).  :)

-  Was able to spend some bonding time with some friends and met new friends.  :)

Well, that's just about it... I'm looking for a job that interests me from time to time and at the same time enjoying this freedom to do what I want with my own time and spend it the way I want to.  I've enjoyed cooking and experimenting with a few dishes recently.  It's not always the best outcome, but it's not that bad either.  Hahaha!

All in all, I am having a great time and I thank God for everyday and the blessings He never failed to shower on us.  I'm sure He has more good things in store for the future.  :)
