Bangus in Oil

Stumbled upon this recipe last night and thought I'd give it a try.  So off to the market I went as soon as I got myself out of bed.  Found the bangus (milk fish) I needed, the fish vendor uncle was kind enough to clean them  and cut them according to the portion size I need.  Got some bay leaves and chilis.  I couldn't find whole black peppercorns, they only had the coarsely ground type in the store I went to and I was too lazy to go to another store so I thought that would do (it's the same pepper anyway, hehehe).

I washed and soaked the fish in brine following the recipe's instructions.  Took them out of the brine after about half an hour and drained them.  Placed them in a deep pan, added the spices and soak everything up with olive oil.  I didn't have a pressure cooker so I decided to steam the dish instead.  ;)

And here's the end product... ta-da!

(Sorry it's not a very good photo :P)

As for the taste, not too bad for a first-timer I would say.  Hahaha!

Thanks to Wyatt's Kitchen (http://wyattskitchen.com/?p=35) for the recipe.  :)
