Busy As A Bee

I thought I was in luck when my (supposedly) next trip was postponed and delayed much longer than expected because I'd get to stay a bit longer in Singapore before embarking in another long and arduous project. Plus, I could spend a non-working, public holiday in Singapore as it should be spent, not working at all... I did just that and got to see a movie too!

But I guess my streak of luck is not that long, the past couple of weeks were kinda rough and tough because of the following:

- I got an almost-mission-impossible chore with a tight deadline at work. It's something similar to being asked to put together pieces of a broken glass and make it look like it wasn't broken at all.

- My bf got so sick around the same time this chore was given to me and I felt bad because I could not take care of him round-the-clock because I cannot take time off from work because of that chore with that deadline. I can only switch to caregiver-mode after work.

- In the middle of all that, due to the economic crisis which is pissing off almost everyone, we had another round of retrenchment in the company. As always, when that happens it is depressing and a real pain in the morale.

- I had to switch to call-center-mode again which is good in a way because I can work from home, but on the other hand it sucks because it takes up so much of my time and I've become a prisoner in my own home.

Luckily, my bf is feeling better now and is on his way to recovery, that is the most important thing. So now, my life is getting back to it's usual but not normal state... unpredictable and busy-as-a-bee. But still, like Energizer, life goes on... and on... and on... :)
